Who is AiDEX™ Lite suitable for?
AiDEX™ is approved for anyone over 14 years old who wants to continuously monitor their glucose levels - particularly people living with diabetes and those concerned about their diet, fitness and wellbeing.
Is AiDEX™ Lite a Flash Glucose Monitor with a scan device?
No, AiDEX™ Lite is a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System and does not require scanning because it automatically sends readings to your iOS/Android smartphone (AiDEX™ app) via Bluetooth every 5 minutes.
Will AiDEX™ Lite work on my smartphone?
AiDEX works with virtually any relatively modern Android or Apple smartphone. See if you can successfully download the AiDEX™ app on your smartphone before obtaining the CGM.
The AiDEX™ app can be found in the Apple App Store for iPhone and Google Play Store for Android.
What size is the AiDEX™ Lite CGM (transmitter + sensor when affixed to the skin)?
35mm (L) x 21mm (W) x 9mm (H). This CGM is compact and comfortable to wear.
Tell me about the adhesive used by AiDEX™ Lite?
The adhesive on AiDEX™ Lite is made by 3M. Each AiDEX™ Lite sensor is supplied with an overpatch to reinforce the adhesive if necessary. If you play sport or want an extra layer of security, we sell sports tape via the Intuitive Therapeutics store. It is fine to tape over the entire sensor.
How is the AiDEX™ Lite CGM powered?
There is a tiny battery in the each AiDEX™ Lite sensor, which powers the AiDEX™ Lite transmitter for each 10-day wear cycle.
Can I swim when wearing AiDEX™ Lite?
The AiDEX™ Lite system is rated IPX7 and is suitable for swimming and showering.
How long do AiDEX™ Lite sensors and transmitters last?
Each AiDEX™ Lite sensor lasts for 10 days. Your AiDEX™ Lite transmitter is reusable for 4 years and receives firmware updates via the AiDEX™ mobile app.
Will AiDEX™ Lite work with my insulin pump?
There are currently no official insulin pump integrations that work with the AiDEX™ Lite CGM available in New Zealand. It is possible to use AiDEX™ Lite as a CGM candidate with a DIY system such as Android APS. Please connect with the #WeAreNotWaiting community on social media for advice on possible DIY integrations.
Can I share my CGM readings with someone else?
It is possible to share CGM data with an unlimited number of followers. Each follower will need their own app login and can view CGM data remotely in real-time and receive alerts.

What is the recommended time to calibrate the AiDEX™ Lite CGM?
The best time to calibrate AiDEX™ Lite is when BG levels are stable, for example, first thing in the morning before any food or drink is consumed (fasting state from overnight).
Can I give my AiDEX™ Lite transmitter to a friend to use?
For security reasons, your transmitter can only be paired with a single AiDEX™ account at a time. Before it can be used with another account you will need to unpair it from your own account from within the AiDEX™ app. Your transmitter will need to be connected to a sensor during this process.
