An Alternate Control Enabled (ACE) insulin pump

The DANA-i has been designed as an Alternate Controller Enabled (ACE) pump. This means that it is designed for secure interoperability with approved remote control, continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGM) and closed-loop algorithms.

The DANA-i’s Bluetooth LE 5.0 capabilities allow for quick and stable connections to smartphones or other Bluetooth enabled handsets, providing the bridge needed for artificial pancreas algorithms to automate the insulin delivery from the DANA-i. Being interoperable, the DANA-i is designed to work with a growing number of industry partners to present users with choice when it comes using their insulin pump for closed loop therapy.
